my testimony
You can access my website through Google by typing in Rodger Tutt.
Because my testimony is helping so many people, I am posting it here so it will stay on your front page for awhile if that's ok with you. The many entries in my guest book that is accessible towards the bottom of the front page on my site, and the many positive emails in my email file folders, show that the content of my testimony is helping many people. You can access my website through Google by typing in Rodger Tutt. MY TESTIMONY The idea that God lets any creature suffer endlessly has caused me more suffering than all other problems of my life combined. By the time I had reached the mission field I had hoped to have found a satisfactory answer that would justify God allowing this to happen. I didn't find such an answer. Surrounded by thousands of people, dozens of whom were dying every day and beginning an eternity of suffering in hell was too much for me. In 1966, at age 28, it caused me to have a nervous breakdown. For several weeks I was confined to my bed in a state of terror night and day. The terror was caused by the fear of what a God I could not love or respect would do to me after I died. It took me twelve years to fully recover from the breakdown. I quickly became agnostic, for the Christian gospel and the Bible were no longer any comfort to me at all. Many evangelical friends tried to help me. They meant well, but in the end they all had only words of condemnation towards me. This added more suffering to my already intense suffering. Gradually I began to learn that there have been, in centuries past, and still are today, a few people in the world that see a different kind of God in the Bible. They see a God who will not let any creature suffer forever. They see a God in the Bible who will change every second of everyone's suffering into something better that it happened, including the sufferings of Satan. I learned that a correctly (literally) translated Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation. I read dozens of books, and listened to hundreds of tapes by men who believe this way and I gradually became converted to believing this way myself. Since 1981, through my newspaper ads and my telephone ministry, I have sent out many hundreds of packets of literature explaining why I believe as I do. I have also sent this evidence to hundreds of pastors and Bible school teachers. None of them have told me that they are able to refute it. I have also read eight books that were supposed to refute the evidence in favor of universalism, but none of them do. Because of this evidence, my panic attacks became less frequent until twelve years after my breakdown they ceased altogether. Now nothing gives me greater pleasure than to make this evidence available to others who have suffered because of the same problem I had even though they have embraced Christ and His gospel for themselves, and I use a substantial amount of my money and time to this end. Because of the enormous amount of suffering the idea of "endless hell" causes in this world, I am asking you to consider the possibility that you should stop endorsing the idea that the Bible teaches it. Or, at least, let others know that there are (and have been in centuries past) people who do not think the Bible teaches it. Many of the responses from pastors and teachers range from a mild: "The majority don't agree with you so you must be wrong", to the vicious "For every week you leave your ad in the papers, God will increase the temperature of the fires of hell for you personally". Most are somewhere in between these remarks. But none have told me they are able to refute the evidence. And, until they can, they will not be able to stop me from sharing the good news that a correctly (literally) translated Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation. A website that answers all the arguments that seem to support the idea that the Bible teaches endless suffering in hell is TENTMAKER. Although forum rules prevent me from posting forum links, you can easily Google it up. The ?scholar?s corner? under ?research? deals with every aspect of the subject. The more than 600 page search engine at the top of this same TENTMAKER front page is also very comprehensive regarding this subject. Just type in a key word or phrase from any argument or scripture passage, and ten articles will appear that refute the eternal hell and annihilation doctrines. I am also going to guide you all to the testimony of a man whose experience was almost identical to mine. Even the thought processes that took him into, through, and out of his breakdown are the same as mine. Only he is much more eloquent in telling his story than I am. what I wish I had known during my youth
My name is Rodger Tutt. I am 68 years old. I could have avoided a horrific twelve year nervous breakdown had I known as a youth about the following information concerning what a correctly (literally, not interpretively) Bible teaches.
You can access my website through Google by typing in Rodger Tutt. BOOKS THAT SHOW THAT THE BIBLE TEACHES UNIVERSAL SALVATION, THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF WHICH CAN BE READ ONLINE ******Removed By Admin************ To Rodger Tutt From ADMIN First I want you to re-read the Registration Agreement, which you have clearly violated then read the Article of Faith, which you don't agree with. RE: my testimony
I do not know if this guest was really Rodger Tutt or not, and I do not know if he is still coming here as a guest, but several points are to be addressed.
Why nonbelievers do not come to and believe in Jesus Christ. John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. What about those that never heard the Gospel? God made this promise: the difference between those that seek Him and those that do not. God knows. Matthew 7: 6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. 7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Proof of God knowing those that seek Him and those that do not, because they prefer their evil deeds: Remember: Jesus told His disciples to preach the Gospel in all nations.... Acts 16:6Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, 7After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. 8And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. 9And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. 10And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them. So at that time, Asia, Mysia, and Bithynia were not going to be receptive towards the Gospel, but God knew someone that would be in Macedonia. So let us consider this truth: John 3: 35The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. Having everlasting life versus shall not see that life, but abide in the wrath of God: sounds like eternal hell to me. If God is good and sin seperated us from God; in spite of God providing the way back to Himself through belief in His Son, if a nonbeliever chooses his evil deeds over the free gift of eternal life: then he or she is choosing to stand away from all that is good as they reject God. They are getting what they want: a place void of anything good. The life we are living now is His story of redeeming those that have been seperated from Him due to sin which leads to His glory as Saviour. The redeemed now knows what Adam and Eve did not know at first: the knowledge of good and evil is that nothing is good outside the will of God. Now for anyone to believe that there are other ways into Heave besides Jesus Christ, then I would believe that Jesus would not have bothered to suffer and to die for our sins if there were any other way. No religion of man can redeem himself or his brother. God Who created us.. only God can "fix" us... only God can redeem us. The only way back to God is through God Himself. To believe that He is able to give us eternal life just by taking Him at His Word, and to live by faith that He is able to help us live as His now that we have a reconciled relationship with God through the Son of God, and by getting to know the Son, we get to know the Father... this is the righteousness of God.. ..by the righteousness of faith in His Son which is to His glory. And God going through all that trouble to redeem us, He is going to have all those that want to be saved.. to come back to God...saved. And those that do not want anything to do with God, will prefer their evil deeds over Him. If the devil and his angels are burning in the lake of fire forever, then so will those that receive the mark of the beast along with those that do not believe in the Son of God for life. So hell is scary, but take your eyes off of the storm and look at the Good News to man: His name is Jesus Christ the Lord. An unloving God? There is no greater love than this: he who lays his life down for his friends. Otherwise, if man can obtain righteousness by his merit and his will, we would have had alot of religious "stuck-ups" in "Heaven", and it would not sound like "Heaven" to me. Indeed, sounds like the precedent for another "fall from Heaven" judgment, but that judgment has already been given to the devil and his angels. By having the Son in us, we are eternally secured to live with God forever. 2 Corinthians 13: 5Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 1 John 5: 11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. So how does one receive Him? Ephesians 1: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. 15Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, May God cause the increase in the knowledge of Him so that our love for Him may abound yet more and more. Amen. |
