THE PROBLEM

One problem that is common to all men and women is that they have sinned in some form or fashion.  The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23, "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."  That simply means that no one measures up to God's standard -  perfection.

THE PENALTY

The Bible tells us in Romans 6:23 that "the wages of sin is death."  The death that it speaks of is spiritual death.  Because God is holy and just, He must punish sin.  We tend to categorize our sins as big or little sins.  Yet in God's eyes all sin, whatever it may be, falls short of His perfect standard and must be dealt with in judgment. This means without Christ you will spend eternity in HELL!

THE PRICE

Yet God did not create us for judgment.  He created us for fellowship with Him.  Yet our sins have broken that fellowship.  Since God is holy and just, He must punish sin.  Yet He loves us with an unfathomable love.  How could God both punish the sin and at the same time love the sinner?  Romans 5:8 tells us.  It says, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
That is how God has both dealt with sin as a holy and just God, and at the same time, dealt in love with all humanity. 2 Corinthians 5:21says, "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God through Him."

REPENTANCE

Repentance is to be sorry for our sins and to ask God for forgiveness. You do not have to confess your sins one by one. God knows them all, and counts them as one. Repentance calls for a change of heart with a firm resolve to turn away from sinfulness. There is no forgiveness without repentance. Unless one repents, he will perish. Luke 13:3 and Luke 13:5 says,  "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

THE PROMISE

The price for sin has been paid in full, yet it needs to be applied to your "account."  Romans 10:9-10 tells us how this is done. "If you will confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."
Romans 10:13 goes on the make this promise, "WHOEVER WILL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."  With Salvation you will spend eternity in HEAVEN!

If the Holy Spirit has spoken to you through those verses, and you want to call upon the name of Jesus for salvation, you can pray right now to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  Pray something like this, "Father, forgive me a sinner.  I accept the payment Jesus has already made for my sins.  Thank you for saving me.  AMEN"

However you said that prayer, be assured from God's Word that you are now a child of God.  Find a local  Born again Bible Believing Church near you and attend this Sunday.  At the time of invitation at the close of the service walk forward and tell the Pastor how you prayed to receive Jesus.  Then let the church help you on your pilgrimage with God.

God Bless
Dave
Amazed in His presence.....humbled by His love.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

RE: Important Please Read
Our dear Brother will be so missed, and the world is a darker place for each of us. What a blessing Dave was to our hearts, our lives, and our walk with Christ. A blessed promise to all Believers, to have our Lord waiting for us to go Home, to be healed and made new, to enter into His Rest, and to be reunited with our loved ones who have gone Home before us.

Father God we pray that You would envelope Dave's loved ones with Your grace, that You would draw them near, hold them close, and minister peace, comfort, and an ever deepening measure of faith. Dear Father heal the pain from this Valley of separation, and enhance the joy in You and the absolute certainty of our Brother's Going Home to You, and the healing, the rest, and the eternal Glories which await. Help us Father to carry the legacy of faith, of love, of ministry, and caring, with which Brother Dave has endowed us all, and to honor his heart and memory, and lead us each according to Your perfect will and eternal love for your precious children. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Life is like a mountain railroad, with an engineer that’s brave;
We must make the run successful, from the cradle to the grave;
Watch the curves, the fills, the tunnels; never falter, never quail;
Keep your hand upon the throttle, and your eye upon the rail.

Refrain

Blessèd Savior, Thou wilt guide us,
Till we reach that blissful shore;
Where the angels wait to join us
In Thy praise forevermore.

You will roll up grades of trial; you will cross the bridge of strife;
See that Christ is your Conductor on this lightning train of life;
Always mindful of obstruction, do your duty, never fail;
Keep your hand upon the throttle, and your eye upon the rail.

Refrain

You will often find obstructions; look for storms of wind and rain;
On a fill, or curve, or trestle, they will almost ditch your train;
Put your trust alone in Jesus; never falter, never fail;
Keep your hand upon the throttle, and your eye upon the rail.

Refrain

As you roll across the trestle, spanning Jordan’s swelling tide,
You behold the Union Depot into which your train will glide;
There you’ll meet the Superintendent, God the Father, God the Son,
With the hearty, joyous, plaudit, “Weary pilgrim, welcome home!”

Refrain

You have gone Home before us our Dear Brother in Christ, but we hope to be joining Y'all real soon at the Master's Banquet table. Bless your heart, your life, and your glorious walk with Christ. Your music is silenced, but your song plays on in our hearts.

A servant of Christ,
Drew

1 Tim. 3:
15: But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

RE: Important Please Read
My heart is grieved and yet at the same time I am joyful that he will no longer have to endure any more pain, suffering, or sorrow in this fallen world. I'm sure that he has heard the words, "Well done faithful and wise servant" from our Lord and is in extreme bliss in the presence of our Lord and all the saints that have passed before him. If the Lord was willing...I wouldn't mind joining Dave in God's Kingdom, but there is so much that needs to be done here on earth while time is short...God willing. God promises to wipe away all tears and eradicate death forever, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that I will see Brother Dave one day and all of my fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ, and we will all have such joy...a joy that no one can take from us. If there's anything I can do in this time of trial please let me know, and I will do my best to assist. My heart and prayers go out to you, your family, and friends.

God Bless!
